What’s included in a “Multi-Unit Building Condo” Inspection?

The best reason for having a home inspection performed is to be well-informed regarding the condition of the property, enabling you to make an educated purchase decision.

We have been performing multi-unit building condo inspections since 1991. Our inspections follow the guidelines outlined the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). We also comply with the Maryland and Virginia State requirements (D.C. No requirements). The buyer can accompany the Inspector as he carefully evaluates the home and its systems. The buyer can ask questions along the way. The Inspector will make some verbal comments about the home that are not relevant to the formal report but could be valuable information about the home and its maintenance.

Small building condos may have some outside private areas which are part of the unit. Many or all of the outside areas, the roof included are likely the responsibility of the condo association. With our multi-unit building condo inspection we carefully inspect the unit interior and unit systems. We also inspect the exterior areas (as possible) which directly relate to this unit. We do not formally inspect the condo building, building systems or common areas. The inspector may make some cursory observations on these areas. A computer generated detailed report with pictures will be emailed to the client the next day.
